Bridge Crew Laborer

Position will include but not limited to bridge construction, culverts, building and for basic maintenance of equipment used by the Bridge Crew. This includes motor patrol for snow removal and other duties unassigned. Must possess and maintain a valid class A CDL with an air brake endorsement. Position reports to the shop located at 2038 – 280th St., Toledo. Graduation from high school, or GED required. Starting wage is $26.82. The Tama County Highway Department offers a solid benefit package, including group health insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, flexible use of personal time, and enrollment in the IPERS retirement system. With the exception of poor road conditions, employees can generally expect to work from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
