Mission Statement
Economic Development is about improving the lives of Tama County citizens. Tama County Economic Development Commission is a collaboration between government, business, nonprofits, education institutions, workforce, and residents to add value to the economy. It is our responsibility to promote and strengthen our businesses and industries that increase wealth and tax base. We do this by helping to retain and attract high quality jobs. Our organization is actively working to provide greater access to affordable housing and resources that improve our quality of life; including recreational and cultural amenities, historic preservation, and local dining and shopping. We believe a vibrant business climate means stronger communities.
