Tandem Axle Truck Driver
Dysart Tandem Axle Truck Driver full-time position. Starting pay per hour: $27.77.
Responsibilities: The Truck Driver performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of Tama County’s secondary road system. This includes snow and ice removal, drainage improvement, roadway patching, culvert work, mowing, brush clearing, and flagging, using a wide range of equipment. Drivers are expected to use phones and digital tools for task tracking and communication and engage with the public in a professional manner. Knows the county’s customer service principles, the county’s mission, strategic plan, values and demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality of work performed. Requirements: Graduation from high school, or GED. Possess and maintain a valid State of Iowa Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no air brake, manual transmission or tractor-trailer restrictions. Pre-employment and random drug screening are required.
Starting wage is $27.77 per hour with full benefit package. With the exception of poor road conditions, employees can generally expect to work from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
