The Tama County Treasurer's Office will be closed on Tuesday, April 2 for staff training. The office will reopen with regular business hours the following day on Wednesday, April 3. For questions, contact the Treasurer's Office at 641-484-3141. The Treasurer's Office also offers several services that can be completed online at any time including renewing vehicle registration, paying property taxes and scheduling appointments for driver's license services. Tama County is seeking an individual who is interested in being part of our Conservation Board.
The purposes of this chapter are to create a county conservation board and to authorize counties to acquire, develop, maintain, and make available to the inhabitants of the county, public museums, parks, preserves, parkways, playgrounds, recreational centers, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people, to encourage the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship by providing adequate programs of public recreation." - Iowa Code, Chapter 350
Meetings are held on monthly at the Tama County Nature Center at 2283 Park Road in Toledo.

The Iowa Junior Naturalist Program promotes awareness of natural and cultural resources of Iowa by rewarding children for engaging in educational programming and self-directed activities. Ran through the Iowa Association of Naturalists, this program is offered state-wide each calendar year and is now supported by Tama County Conservation!
