FREE Program for Tama County Residents!
Our Maternal & Child Health Wellness Program is here to support and empower young and growing families as they enter into new stages. We offer assistance, education, and resources throughout pregnancy and beyond.
Included Services:
- Early pregnancy testing
- Prenatal vitamins
- Free car seat opportunities
- Assistance in locating a healthcare provider
- Assistance with WIC, medical, and financial aid applications
- Referrals to community resources for food, clothing, housing, mental health and childcare
- Access to our incentive program
- In-home nursing visits during pregnancy and postpartum
- Pregnancy and family education
- Monthly classes
From pregnancy to 3 years of age, our Maternal & Child Wellness Program also encourages healthy behaviors in families through an incentive program. Using a point-reward system, participants may accumulate points in various ways such as continuing education, routine healthcare appointments/exams, attending our monthly classes, reading to your children, in-home nursing visits, etc.
Points may be redeemed once each month at out Store for early childhood necessities such as diapers and wipes. The store is open prior to each class from 3:30-4:30 PM. Need a particular item and want to use your points? Ask us to order it for you!
